Shred Hood needs a Marketing Whiz to help us reach more people

Know a recent college grad who is looking for a unique marketing internship? Someone who enjoys skiing and/or snowboarding and getting up to the mountain every weekend? Someone who knows and loves Mount Hood?

Shred Hood is looking for a marketing intern to help us spread the word about our growing mountain publication by attending and covering events, posting on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, signing up new subscribers, giving away free stuff and brainstorming ideas for new marketing and development initiatives.

As a Year Two publication with limited resources, we can’t pay much, but we can pay a monthly stipend plus mountain expenses and cash bonuses for performance.

Marketing Intern for a Rocking New Publication
Position Title:    Marketing Intern
Publication: Shred Hood, a community news site covering skiing, snowboarding and outdoor recreation on Mount Hood, at http://shredhood.org/
Location: Mount Hood, Oregon and surroundings
Compensation: Paid Internship with a monthly stipend of $350, plus subscription bonuses and reimbursed mountain expenses.
Position Description: Digital publication seeks smart, savvy marketing intern to boost readership and get people stoked about skiing and snowboarding on Mount Hood. Work fun mountain events, post on social media, sign up new subscribers, expand overall reach, contribute your own ideas. Our website shredhood.org launched a year and a half ago and reaches thousands of readers weekly. We want to keep growing and to expand into Tahoe, Whistler and other mountain shred communities. This is an internship position but Shred Hood will cover reasonable expenses, pay a monthly stipend and cash bonuses for bringing in new subscribers and/or sponsors. 10-20 hours per week.
Qualifications:  Must be knowledgeable about skiing and snowboarding and Mount Hood; savvy with Facebook, Instagram and Twitter; lively and fun at outdoor events and parties; and naturally good at engaging people and firing them up about new things. Snappy writing/photography chops and video skills are a big plus.
