November 19, 2013 on Mount Hood: Snow and Rain and Wind

It is both snowing and raining on Mount Hood this morning, depending on elevation, as a large storm from the coast does its work. The National Weather Service is predicting 3-7 inches of snow at 6,339 feet and heavy rain in Government Camp. Good news for Timberline, bad news for Skibowl.

Timberline plans to start operating seven days a week starting this coming Friday, November 22.

TEMPERATURE RANGE at 6,337 feet: 30-37

WIND: 20-30 mph from the West, gusts to 45

SNOW BASE at 5250 feet at MEADOWS: 18 inches

ANNUAL SNOWFALL at TIMBERLINE: 73 inches

FREEZING LEVEL: Dropping from 7500 feet to 2500 feet

ROADS: Wet
