Skibowl summer season will go seven days a week starting June 12

Mt. Hood Skibowl’s 27th summer season will rev up with mountain biking, zip lines, Frisbee golf and more, seven days a week starting June 12.

Skibowl has long offered mountain activities for the non-snow season, and its offerings have expanded steadily through the years. The latest summer addition is the new “Tree Top Action Zone,” complete with a Tarzan Swing, a Tarzan Plunge and a Hang-on-for-Dear-Life-on-the-Rickety-Bridge feature. It’s all just uphill from the new Malibu cars,  the new bungee trampolines that send you up for some serious air time, the batting cages for your Big Papi impersonations and a new Aqua Roller pond for getting your hamster on.

The Malibu Raceway was purchased by Skibowl last year and moved up from its old location in Beaverton to the Skibowl East Multorpor parking lot. Other summer activities at Skibowl East include a 100-foot bungee tower, 800-foot zip lines and a climbing wall.

Over at Skibowl West the big attractions are the Alpine Slide and the lift-accessed mountain bike trails and Freeride Park – but there are plenty of other options as well. An all-day action pass gets you access to 20-plus activities for the day for $79; a two-hour pass runs $29.

Two-hour, half-day and all-day Adventure passes along with the premium Action Pass are offered starting at $29. Groups, birthday parties, company picnics and weddings are available with special rates.

The Tarzan Freefall Swing and Plunge can be added to an all-day Action Pass for $15, or added to any Adventure Pass for $20 each activity. There is also a new, all-inclusive “Extreme Pass” that includes every attraction available, including the “Tree Top Action Zone” for $109.
