UPDATE: Due to lack of snow the 20125 Kids Kandahar has been moved from Multorpor to Summit.

Mount Hood youth racers will get their first opportunity to compete Sunday, January 11 at Summit.

Racers aged 5-14 will be running giant slalom gates down Summit Sunday for the Kids Kandahar, assuming the thin snow base holds up.

Racers from five Mount Hood youth programs — Mt. Hood Race Team, MAC Race Team, Cooper Spur Race Team, Cascade Winter Sports Club and Meadows Race Team — will be competing, and independent racers are also welcome to register here.

253 racers competed in last year’s 2014 Kids Kandahar: 113 girls and 140 boys. Ability levels and styles varied widely, from tiny first-timers in snowplows to junior racers making seriously angled turns at very high speeds.
