Crazy Karl gets some crazy new skis, from Portland’s own ON3P

In case you’re wondering why they call Karl Fostvedt “Crazy Karl,” this two-and-a-half minute edit from ON3P Skis ought to clarify things for you.

Portland-based ON3P Skis has built a new ski for Karl and maniacs who would like to emulate his all-out style, and they released this video to highlight the model they have dubbed The Kartel. The ski is co-designed by Fostvedt and John Ware.

Apparently, you can do just about anything you can imagine to these skis and get away with it — including ripping through big patches of volcanic rock.

All of the footage was captured on Mount Hood in summer. It was filmed by Jasper Newton and edited by Fostvedt.
