Cody Townsend’s death-defying skiing parts in MSP Film’s “Days of My Youth” have to be seen to be believed.
At one point he straight-lines it at about 80 miles an hour in between two enormous rocks with just inches to spare on either side and emerges with a whoop of joy spiced with terror. It is frightening just to watch him as he dives down into that insane line.
Townsend grew up ski racing and surfing in Santa Cruz and competed on the Big Mountain tour for a few years before settling into ski filming as a full-time gig. His parts for “Days of My Youth” have been edited into a 7-minute clip for Powder magazine’s MSP Mondays, produced by Red Bull Media House and MSP Films.
