Skibowl opens its summer season with seven days a week of mountain biking, alpine sledding and other activities

Mt. Hood Skibowl’s 26th summer season officially opened Saturday, June 14 and will run seven days a week through Labor Day.

Skibowl has long offered mountain activities for the non-snow season, and its offerings have expanded steadily through the years. The latest summer addition is the Malibu Raceway, which was purchased by Skibowl last year and moved up from its old location in Beaverton to the Skibowl East Multorpor parking lot. The new raceway at Skibowl offers Indy cars for adults and go karts for adults and kids. Also new this summer: a five-person Bungee Trampoline and a second “Aqua Rollers” pond.

Other summer activities at Skibowl East include a 100-foot bungee tower, 800 foot zip lines and batting cages.

Over at Skibowl West the big attractions are the Alpine Slide and the lift-accessed mountain bike trails and Freeride Park – but there are plenty of other options as well. An all-day action pass gets you access to 20-plus activities for the day for $79; a two-hour pass runs $29. Winter season pass holders can get a one-time $7 discount.

Operating hours for the Mt. Hood Adventure Park at Skibowl are as follows: Monday-Thursday 11:00am to 6:00pm, Friday 11:00am to 7:00pm, Saturday & Sunday 10:00am to 7:00pm.

Two-hour, half-day and all-day Adventure passes along with the premium Action Pass are offered starting at $29. Groups, birthday parties, company picnics and weddings are available with special rates.

Full ticket price details can be found here.

As for one-time events, Skibowl hosts downhill mountain biking races during the summer and is also promoting a Kids’ Adventure Games competition on July 6 for children 6-14 years old. Stay tuned for details.
