April 5: King and Queen of the Mountain competition at Skibowl

Who will be crowned King and Queen of the mountain for 2014?

This lively annual competition at Skibowl tests skiers and snowboarders of all styles for overall mastery of the mountain: daring and originality in the steeps and cliffs of the Upper Bowl, high-speed tucks past the radar gun, big-air acrobatics off three large lumps and smooth style through the park features below.

Last year’s winners were snowboarder Corey Caswell and skier Kristie Beavert, who got $1,000 each and free season passes to Skibowl. The competition featured huge air from the likes of Tommy Ellingson and Josh Larkin and smooth park style from Joey Vandermeer, Marisa Kranczak and other talented Mount Hood regulars.
