Blue sky and deep powder on Four Bowl

Here’s another batch of sweet powder pics to whet your appetite for the next storm on Mount Hood.

The photos were shot by Bob Stawicki of Grant Myrdal Photography last Friday, February 21 on the Four Bowl run at Mt. Hood Meadows.

As you can see, conditions on that day were pretty much perfect, with plenty of light, velvety snow and sharp visibility.

Since then the snow has been hammered by wind and rain, but on the bright side there is now a solid, compact base for the next batch of fresh snow to land on.

The forecast calls for cooler temperatures and possibly some light snow this weekend.
