New Year’s Eve Festivities on Mount Hood

Snow or no snow, Meadows, Skibowl and Timberline all have big plans for New Years Eve with music, fireworks and night skiing and snowboarding.

Meadows is running shuttles up from Clackamas for night riding until midnight, food and drinks, a futuristic-themed costume contest, music by Keegan Smith & The Fam, fireworks at 10:15 and champagne and balloons at midnight. The cost for everything including the ride up, night riding and dinner is $109 per adult including a lift ticket, or $85 for pass holders. Buses depart from Clackamas. Get the details here.

Skibowl’s New Years Eve plans include Cosmic Tubing until midnight, two fireworks shows, live DJs, a torchlight parade, champagne toasts and skiing and riding until 2 am – if the snow gods cooperate. Details here.

At Timberline Lodge Bob Voll and the Too Loose Band will play classic rock inside the lodge for a New Year’s adult dinner-dance. On the slopes, lifts are scheduled to run until midnight, with fireworks at 10:30. However, the music and dining at the historic lodge are not open to night riders, only to guests with dinner or hotel reservations. Get the details here.
