It’s snowing and calm today on Mount Hood, with skies expected to clear later in the day. Groomers are moving snow around on the Palmer Snowfield to get ready for early-October skiing at Timberline.

Temperature range at 6,000 feet: 31-39

Wind: 8-10 mph from the North

Snow depth at the base of Meadows: 11 inches and rising

Annual snowfall at Timberline: 35 inches

Freezing Level: Rising from 5700 feet to 8700 feet

Roads: Wet but Clear
