Mount Hood friends of the late Lisa Moulding will gather Saturday at the Mazot Hut to remember a super-positive young woman who died too soon.
As part of the ceremony, friends plan to hang a picture of Lisa at the Mazot, where she worked as a server and brightened a lot of days with her smile. Here is what Lisa’s friend Mike Aldridge posted on Facebook page for the #love4lisa Memorial at Mt. Hood Meadows:
We will take the picture as high up as possible, take a lap or two as a group with it, then meet at The Mazöt when it opens to put it up for the winter. Beers, tunes, snow and smiles!! stay tuned for more info!! Share this event! It WILL be happening on the 19th!!!!!
Lisa Moulding died from cancer at the age of 34. She was originally from Steilacoom, Washington and she attended Washington State University, the University of Nevada at Las Vegas and the University of Washington in Seattle before moving to Portland. In addition to her work at the Mazot, she also worked at the Departure Restaurant and Lounge in Downtown Portland, in the Nines Hotel.
When Lisa was diagnosed with stomach cancer last season, the mountain community rallied to support her by selling #love4lisa trucker’s caps, establishing a fundraising site to help pay for treatments, and throwing a big Wig-Out party for her at the Skyway. She died on Thursday, May 21, 2015.
