If you love Mount Hood in winter, you probably love checking out the snow conditions and making plans. But do you have all the best sources for Hood Conditions on one page?
Take a look at these quick links, and bookmark ’em if you like ’em.
Seven-Day Forecast: From the National Weather Service, centered on the Blue Chair at Meadows.
Temira’s Human-Powered Forecast: She knows what she’s talking about, and she’s fun to read.
Northwest Avalanche Center: Deep-dive wind, snow, and water-content data, updated hourly.
Meadows Snow Forecast: Good for a quick read on freezing level trends.
Mount Hood Ski Forecast: A useful quick skim, with plenty of webcams.
Meadows Conditions Page: They are afraid of using the word rain, but they do a good job of letting you know what to expect with lifts and trails, and their webcams don’t lie.
Timberline Conditions Page: The new snow measurements are accurate, and they have 9 webcams.
Now make your plans and get out there! The tasty powder photos come courtesy of my good friend Grand Myrdal, who has moved onto Bachelor. Miss you on the mountain, Grant!
