Portland Mountain Rescue Will Host a Key Fundraiser with Mountain Films at Revolution Hall

Portland Mountain Rescue will stage its largest fundraiser of the year Thursday, March 10th at Revolution Hall in Portland with short films from the Telluride Mountain Film Tour.

PMR is an all-volunteer group that rescues injured and lost climbers, skiers and snowboarders on Mount Hood and in other potentially hazardous locations. They raise money annually at a big film festival in Portland with auctions, free stuff, food and drinks and riveting footage from remote wilderness areas.

This year’s festival will feature leading independent documentary films from around the world focused on outdoor adventure through skiing, surfing, climbing, trail-running, kayaking, surfing, mountain biking, diving and more.

The event will include a raffle of gear and goods with donations from local sponsors The Mountain Shop and North Drinkware, makers of the Oregon Pint glass. Tickets are $17 in advance and $22 at the door, available at the Mountain Shop and online from Revolution Hall.

Revolution Hall is at 1300 SE Stark in Portland. Doors for the festival open at 6 pm Thursday, March 10.

Shred Hood will be in attendance with a well-stocked table, enjoying the festivities, so hope to see you there!
