Super-skier Ingrid Backstrom will appear at the Chasing Shadows Warren Miller film in downtown Portland Friday night.

Backstrom was born in Seattle and grew up shredding Crystal Mountain on her way to a successful career as a pro skier and a model. Her part in the latest Warren Miller film was shot in perfect conditions in Portillo, Chile, with fellow pros Ian McIntosh and Sage Cattabriga-Alosa.

She’ll be hitting the stage to stoke up the crowd for Chasing Shadows — and for an upcoming winter that hill hopefully involve some snow as deep and light as the snow she got to enjoy down in Chile. Chasing Shadows plays at 7:30 pm Friday, Oct. 23 at the Schnitzer Auditorium in downtown Portland.
