Lindsey Vonn won two World Cup races in one weekend in Italy to tie and then break the all-time record with 63 victories.
One year ago Vonn was forced to pull out of the Sochi Olympics after trying desperately to compete without an ACL in her right knee.
Now she is looking as unbeatable as ever, skiing with relaxed confidence at 70 miles per hour and faster. She is winning World Cup races right and left and planning to compete in GS, Super G, Downhill and Super Combined at the World Championships Feb. 2-15 in Colorado. Don’t be surprised if she wins three or four gold medals there.
Lindsey’s record-tying downhill and record-breaking Super G runs in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy were both spectacular, but it was her 62nd win that clearly lifted the pressure, as you can tell from her response at the finish line in this video from Universal Sports.
