A gear swap to support the Hood River Valley High School ski team is scheduled for Saturday, November 8 from 9 am to 3 pm, with an early sale for the best deals starting at 7:30 am.

The swap will take place at Hood River Valley High School, 1220 Indian Creek Rd., Hood River 97031. The price of admission is $5 for regular access from 9 am to 3 pm, or $25 for special early access from 7:30-8:30 am.

Anyone wanting to sell gear at the Gorge Gear Swap can drop it off from 6-8:30 pm Friday, Nov. 7. Sellers get 80 percent of the sale price; the swap gets 20 percent. All unsold gear must be picked up Saturday 3-5 pm or it becomes property of the Hood River ski team.

Hood River’s ski team is a powerhouse in Oregon, in racing and especially in freestyle, where they dominated states last season. Proceeds from Saturday’s swap will help support the continued improvement of some of the most talented young skiers on Mount Hood.
