Skiers and snowboarders will have another opportunity to catch Warren Miller’s 65th feature film, No Turning Back, in Sandy on December 5th and 6th.

No Turning Back will screen at Sandy High School at 6:30 pm on Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6. Doors will open at 5 pm Friday and there will be swap items on sale down the hall from where the film will screen – along with gear deals from Hillcrest Sports. The sale will run all day Saturday, from 9 am until 7 pm.

Tickets are $15, with benefits proceeding the Sandy High Ski Team (pictured below). You can buy tickets at the door or in advance by clicking here. Anyone wanting to sell items through the swap can drop them off Friday; more info here.

No Turning Back pays tribute to 65 years of good-times mountain culture with world-class skiers and snowboarders including Tyler Ceccanti, Seth Wescott, JT Holmes, Ueli Kestenholz, Seth Morrison, Heather Paul, Kaylin Richardson, Sierra Quitiquit, Julian Carr, Ingrid Backstrom, Jess McMillan, Ted Ligety, Julia Mancuso and Mikaela Shiffrin.

Here’s how the Warren Miller production team at skinet.com explains its approach to filming the latest in a long-line of adrenaline-pumping preseason features: “We’re taking a legacy that dates back to before skis had edges and mountains had condos and we’re running with it to the steepest peaks around the globe and back to the Mom and Pop hills that define skiing and riding.”

This year’s action takes place in the mountains of Switzerland, France, Japan, Norway, Alaska, Colorado and Greece. That’s right, Greece. Opa!

My personal favorite segment follows JT Holms and Ueli Kestenholz shredding powder through the alps and leaping off cliffs wearing paragliders for the insanely entertaining sport of speed riding.
