Mt. Hood Meadows will close out its 2013-14 season with a big bash on Saturday, May 17.
There will be barbecue from Meadows and brews from Double Mountain, plus a free concert with three bands playing out on the sun deck.
The music is scheduled to play from 11 am until 5 pm, and Meadows has signed up three lively acts for the event: the Bad Livers, the Quick and Easy Boys, and the Green Neck Daredevils.
The Bad Livers come highly recommended, with one of the best banjo players alive in Danny Barnes. Here’s a hilarious YouTube video of Danny and his tuba sidekick Mark Rubin spinning tales of drunken misadventures and bad neighbors before ripping it through their composition Turpentine Willie. Turns out the best way to solve the Turpentine Willie problem is to move 2800 miles away from the man.

Should be a good show.
