Jan. 26 at Timberline: USASA Slopestyle

Timberline will host a USASA slopestyle competition Sunday, Jan. 26 for freestyle skiers and snowboarders of all ages.

The event is one of 14 freestyle competitions that make up this season’s Mt. Hood Series. Competitors match skills, speed and style in slopestyle, rail jam, halfpipe, banked slalom, and boarder/skier cross contests.  They earn points on a national ranking system, and if they do well enough they can qualify for the nationals at Copper Mountain in Colorado in April.

Due to lack of snow in the early season, several Mt. Hood Series events have been rescheduled or cancelled. The Jan. 26 Slopestyle was originally scheduled for Jan. 19.

Any skier or snowboarder who signs up to join USASA can compete. You can register online here.

What: USASA Slopestyle

Where: Timberline

When: Sunday, January 26
