Skibowl’s snowmaking and grooming crews have managed to get the tubing hill open for Thanksgiving weekend.
The early-season snow has melted away at Skibowl, and the base is just 0-6 inches. But the resort has an advanced snowmaking operation, and work crews took advantage of a few cold nights and mornings to get the tubing hill ready for action.
Skibowl’s tubing hill is located at Skibowl East/Multorpor, with a huge selection of tubes including new four-seat party rides, an efficient conveyor lift and fast but safe runs. Cosmic Tubing (weekends and holidays until 11 pm) is a good choice if the kids are in the mood for party music and lights. Parents can watch through the window upstairs in the newly designed Multorpor Lodge if they choose.
To get there, exit Hwy. 26 at Government Camp and follow Multorpor Road to Ski Bowl East parking lot. Adults $25 for three hours, Kids $20, all day for $50. Three-hour prices are $5 higher for Cosmic Tubing. Children under six need to be with an adult.
The hours of operation for Thanksgiving weekend are:
- Friday, November 29, 10-5, with Cosmic Tubing 6-11 pm
- Saturday, November 30, 10-5, with Cosmic Tubing 6-11 pm
- Sunday, December 1, 10-4.
